Job Description
Mortgage Advisor helping Freedom Mortgage customers service existing loans and explore new loan products. Handling applications, compliance, documentation, and customer communications remotely across the USA.
Responsibilities:
- Provide accurate information to customers about mortgage loans by retrieving loan information from various systems
- Explain potential solutions, loan options, regulatory requirements, and product terms to customers
- Respond promptly and accurately to mortgage-loan questions through written, verbal, inbound, and outbound communications
- Maintain confidentiality of customers' nonpublic personal information
- Deliver professional, compassionate, high-quality customer service and resolve issues efficiently
- Review applicant information to assess likely qualification for loan programs
- Help customers select appropriate loan programs and take initial loan applications
- Explain risks, benefits, terms, and required documentation and disclosures for available loan products
- Use company training materials, reference tools, and resources to provide current loan-program and policy information
- Escalate matters according to company policy
- Oversee the loan process from origination to close while maintaining communication with customers and business partners
- Complete assigned Mortgage Advisor training activities
- Meet sales KPIs for productivity and quality assurance
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance and adhere to shift requirements
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED required
- Some College/Associates Degree or equivalent from a two-year College or Technical School preferred
- Previous mortgage or customer service experience preferred, but not required
- 1–2 years of prior work experience preferred
- Must obtain and/or maintain or renew NMLS licensure
- Must successfully pass the SAFE Mortgage Licensing Examination once hired
- Ability to pass a background check in accordance with SAFE licensing requirements
- Developing knowledge of the mortgage industry, products, lending practices, and regulatory guidelines
- Strong negotiation and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Outstanding customer service skills
- Proven track record of exceptional performance
- Computer proficiency
- Must understand and adhere to applicable federal and state laws and regulations
- Must maintain regular and punctual attendance and adhere to shift requirements
- Must comply with company policies and procedures
