Job Description
Remote Mortgage Loan Originator generating referrals and managing residential mortgage loans from application through closing. Originating conventional and government-backed products nationwide for MortgageRight.
Responsibilities:
- Build and develop referral contacts, including customer referrals, realtors, builders, and professional and personal contacts, to generate residential mortgage loan sales and build a pipeline
- Assume overall responsibility for residential mortgage loans from application to closing
- Collect appropriate documentation from each applicant
- Enter 1003 applications in the Encompass LOS
- Maintain knowledge of available loan products
- Originate permanent single-family (1–4), FHA, VA, USDA, jumbo, and conventional mortgage loan products
- Report to and collaborate with the Branch Manager
Requirements:
- One or more years of relevant self-generating mortgage loan experience
- Contacts and referrals with local realtors, builders, etc.
- NMLS License
- Knowledge of conventional and/or government lending guidelines
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office (Excel, Word) or other transferable software packages
- Strong desire to excel in a competitive environment
- Must register as a Mortgage Loan Originator with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) and maintain the unique identifying registration number, as defined by the S.A.F.E. Act
- Experience using Encompass LOS is a plus
