Job Description

Post-closing quality control analyst auditing mortgage files for AmeriSave, an online mortgage lender. Reviewing compliance, insurance, disclosures, conditions, and trailing documents.

Responsibilities:

  • Audit assigned mortgage files for HMDA/HOEPA regulations, TRID guidelines, QM testing, required documentation, conditional reviews, trust and POA requirements, and product-specific requirements
  • Review escrow cushions, disbursement amounts, due dates, homeowners insurance, mortgagee clauses, and policy documentation
  • Check TIL/APR fees to verify tolerance
  • Verify mortgage insurance requirements, percentages, factors, and certification information
  • Correct and follow up on errors or issues found during post-closing audits until cleared
  • Monitor the pipeline to ensure exceptions are cleared in a timely manner
  • Ensure trailing and corrected documents are uploaded to files
  • Track and report errors
  • Reconcile closing conditions and closing disclosures, amending disclosures when necessary
  • Follow minimum standards

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of current mortgage post-closing, closing, or investor sales experience
  • Self-directed, motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented with excellent decision-making skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High-speed internet required for remote work
  • Cable or Fiber internet only, with Ethernet connectivity
  • Minimum internet speeds: 70/30 Mbps basic, 200–300/35–70 Mbps shared, or 500–1,000/100+ Mbps heavy use
