Job Description
National Accounts Manager growing F&G life insurance and annuity sales through independent brokerage accounts. Managing key relationships, sales plans, training, competitive positioning, and account support.
Responsibilities:
- Develop new and existing relationships and provide proactive, high-end support to the National Accounts VP and Specialty Brokerage accounts
- Produce meaningful and actionable sales reports using existing systems and resources
- Serve as a personalized resource for IMO marketing personnel, back-office staff, key IMO principals, and agents
- Master F&G products and compare and contrast competitor product features and benefits
- Travel to existing relationships and foster new relationships
- Develop and execute account sales plans with accounts and the National Account VP
- Support and grow sales through IMO principal, agent, and back-office/operations levels
- Build trust with owners and senior managers and develop marketing and sales plans for F&G life products
- Provide training and support on F&G life and annuity products
- Facilitate operational needs with F&G resources and coordinate with home office staff
- Direct home office sales support activities to achieve production goals and sales objectives
- Conduct new account installations and provide marketing support through webinars, conference calls, and presentations
- Profile and document IMO approaches, strategies, personnel, and production through Business Profiles
- Manage relationships, sales, and marketing expectations for IMOs and high-potential agencies
- Recruit and manage Key Accounts, including contract levels and incentive recommendations
- Maintain Key Account relationships through frequent communication and visitation
- Develop and record business plans with Key Accounts
- Coordinate Key Account needs with Home Office service capabilities and procedures
- Identify and coordinate high-quality presentations and promotional materials
- Monitor competitor products, positioning, and competitive impact
- Prepare management reports, activity reports, and semi-annual Key Account reviews
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by the National Account VP or senior management
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Business or Marketing
- 3+ years of key account management experience
- Demonstrated success in sales and/or marketing functions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent presentation skills
- Strong project management, organization, and follow-up skills
- Insurance industry knowledge
- Ability to foster effective working relationships within the organization and with key accounts
- Strong PC skills
- Regular and punctual attendance
- Ability to work within a home office environment
- Approximately 50% travel required
- Willingness to attend conferences and meetings, including some weekends and evenings
- Industry-recognized designation such as CLU, ChFC, or CFP preferred
