Job Description

Onboarding Advisor at eBay helping merchants launch their businesses on the platform. Guiding sellers through onboarding processes and ensuring a successful transition to e-commerce.

Responsibilities:

  • Guide merchants through a structured onboarding journey, from account setup and listing launch to achieving their first verified GMV on eBay.
  • Manage activation pipelines, track onboarding milestones, and contribute to activation targets, velocity metrics, and operational performance reviews.
  • Build trusted relationships with merchants, proactively identifying and resolving technical, operational, and compliance-related barriers to growth.
  • Use eBay systems and tools to document customer interactions, monitor onboarding progress, and support performance against commercial objectives.
  • Provide consultative support on marketplace growth strategies, cross-border shipping programs, billing setup, technical integrations, and other aspects of the seller lifecycle.
  • Partner with Business Development teams and Vertical Managers to deliver a seamless onboarding experience while educating sellers on platform enhancements, new product releases, and marketplace best practices.

Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in e-commerce, account management, sales onboarding, or a related customer-facing commercial role.
  • Demonstrated ability to achieve performance goals, with an understanding of sales funnels, conversion metrics, activation performance, and pipeline management.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple onboarding activities while maintaining a high-quality customer experience.
  • Effective communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage international merchants and collaborate across cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
  • Knowledge of e-commerce business models, online marketplace operations, multi-channel selling, merchant onboarding processes, and technical platform integrations.
  • Strong problem-solving and adaptability skills, full fluency in English & either Dutch or German, and willingness to travel as a representative of the eBay brand when required.
