Job Description
Platform Engineer building scalable AWS infrastructure, automation, and observability for Resend’s modern email platform. Improving reliability and developer tooling for teams worldwide.
Responsibilities:
- Build and improve the platform that powers Resend, providing reliable infrastructure and tooling
- Design and operate scalable cloud infrastructure, primarily on AWS, focusing on reliability, performance, and security
- Automate operational work and build self-service workflows
- Establish platform standards and patterns for consistent service development, deployment, and operation
- Improve reliability and observability across Resend
- Participate in incident response and turn operational issues into lasting improvements
- Partner with engineers across Resend to solve infrastructure and platform problems and build reusable solutions
Requirements:
- 8+ years of experience across infrastructure engineering, platform, or SRE
- Strong experience managing production infrastructure as code using AWS CDK, Terraform, or Pulumi
- Understanding of distributed systems and cloud infrastructure, including queues, workers, databases, caching, networking, and load balancing
- Solid working knowledge of AWS
- Strong experience with observability and monitoring using tools like Datadog, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry
- Comfortable working across the stack, from load balancers and networking to delivery pipelines
- Ability to take ownership, communicate trade-offs clearly, and work independently while knowing when to ask for help
- Clear written and spoken English
- Ability to consistently overlap with Americas working hours
