- Coordinate the API team with deep tech teams on code reviews, design, and engine-related work
- Partner with product managers to turn vision and roadmap into scoped, buildable work
- Challenge mismatched scope and reality and propose better implementation paths
- Bring engineering perspective to product decisions involving P2P capabilities
- Use AI tools and quick prototypes to validate ideas
- Create clarity around team goals and define success criteria
- Mentor team leads and improve team operating systems and collaboration
- Lead by example while empowering teams to take ownership
Requirements:
- Experience managing engineers or engineering leads who ship consumer products, ideally in chat, calling, or social apps
- Strong product sense
- Intuition for distributed and local-first systems
- Familiarity with offline-first and eventual consistency
- Deep JavaScript and React
- Initiative, curiosity, resilience, and ability to give and receive direct critique
- Bonus: experience with local-first apps, CRDTs or sync engines, offline-capable mobile or desktop apps, or open source
Benefits:
- 100% remote, worldwide
- Work on a global financial revolution at Tether
- Opportunity to work on Keet, a fully peer-to-peer messaging and video calling app
- Direct collaboration with the CTO and product managers
- Use of AI tools and quick prototypes to validate ideas
