Job Description

Product Manager shaping ESG, XBRL, and regulatory filing solutions at insightsoftware, a global finance software provider. Owning roadmaps, backlogs, and agile delivery for regulated financial institutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Integrate into the agile development team and serve as the voice of the customer
  • Run customer focus groups and update the roadmap based on feedback
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to formulate product vision, strategy, and roadmap
  • Define and drive the regulatory solutions roadmap for ESG reporting, regulatory filing disclosures, and financial filing packages such as Solvency II
  • Ensure alignment with evolving compliance mandates and customer filing obligations
  • Work cross-product across the EPM Suite to integrate data collection and storage with regulatory disclosure and filing
  • Apply XBRL expertise to filing requirements, taxonomy mapping, and validation rules
  • Create, review, and refine epics, features, stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Maintain and prioritize product backlogs across multiple products
  • Organize feature requests and prioritize enhancements
  • Own release planning and sprint planning, including release and sprint goals
  • Mitigate risks and issues affecting release and sprint goals
  • Ensure acceptance criteria are met and conduct sprint reviews from a business/customer perspective
  • Produce documentation with Product Management and Marketing for development, launch, support, services, sales, and marketing initiatives
  • Conduct detailed product demonstrations for internal and external audiences
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for sales and support

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years+ proven success in product ownership or management roles
  • 5 years+ experience with agile software development practices, such as Scrum, Kanban, or Lean Agile, and tools
  • 5 years+ ability to negotiate a backlog with engineers and senior leadership
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Ability to balance conflicting priorities and make critical decisions
  • Knowledge of XBRL and its application in regulatory financial filings, including ESEF, iXBRL, SEC/EDGAR, taxonomy mapping, tagging, and validation
  • Domain experience in financial regulatory compliance frameworks such as Solvency II, CSRD/ESG reporting, IFRS, or equivalent regulatory disclosure and filing requirements
  • Preferred: Agile, Pragmatic Marketing, Project Management, or Scrum Product Owner certifications
  • Preferred: Experience partnering with UX teams to design solutions
  • Preferred: Experience with EPM (Consolidation, Planning, & Reporting) solutions and understanding regulatory disclosure and filing within the broader EPM landscape
  • Background check required where permitted by country or state/province
