Job Description
Project Manager delivering customer and internal engagements for SHI, a global IT solutions and services provider. Managing IT spend optimization projects, governance, risks, budgets, and stakeholder communications.
Responsibilities:
- Own day-to-day execution of assigned customer engagements and internal initiatives from initiation through closure
- Create, manage, and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, communication cadence, and documentation
- Drive project team accountability across workstreams, deliverables, dependencies, decisions, and action items
- Identify delivery challenges and take action to keep projects on track
- Build relationships with internal stakeholders, customers, delivery teams, consultants, partners, and contributors
- Own project communications, including status updates, decisions, action items, risks, issues, and next steps
- Facilitate kickoff sessions, project meetings, status reviews, and follow-up discussions
- Ensure expectations, roles, responsibilities, assumptions, constraints, and success measures are documented and managed
- Monitor execution metrics and engagement health, identifying risks and delivery trends
- Support forecasting, resource tracking, milestone validation, change requests, and budget-impact identification
- Manage scope changes under established governance processes
- Lead corrective action plans and recovery activities through resolution
- Apply PMO methodologies, reporting standards, documentation practices, and delivery governance
- Contribute to PMO continuous improvement, lessons learned, onboarding support, and delivery best practices
Requirements:
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Solid project management skills
- Working knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid methodologies
- Experience facilitating Scrum practices
- Proficiency with Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, or Smartsheet
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and performance tracking
- 4+ years of IT project management experience
- Experience managing customer engagements or internal projects from initiation through closure
- Ability to manage multiple projects, workstreams, stakeholders, dependencies, and competing priorities
- Project governance skills, including planning, scheduling, reporting, RAID management, escalation support, and decision tracking
- Experience working with internal stakeholders, customer contacts, delivery teams, consultants, and partners
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, waterfall, or hybrid delivery methodologies
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project or similar platforms and Microsoft 365 tools
- Familiarity with software licensing, IT infrastructure, ITAM, SAM, and professional services delivery
- Experience producing executive-ready project reporting and communications
- PMP, PRINCE2, CAPM, PMI-ACP, CSM, ITIL, or equivalent certification preferred
- Working knowledge of the IT lifecycle preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project, Visio, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft 365 collaboration tools
- Experience with project-level process improvement, project recovery, corrective action planning, or delivery governance
- Experience providing direction to project team members or supporting onboarding activities
- Second language proficiency, preferably French
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 2+ years of experience in SAM, ITAM, consulting, professional services, or related service delivery environments preferred
