Job Description
IT Project Manager delivering complex applications and infrastructure initiatives for Sword, a business technology solutions provider. Leading energy-sector transformation, governance, budgets, risks, suppliers, and delivery outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the successful delivery of complex technology initiatives within the energy sector
- Manage the full project lifecycle
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to high quality standards
- Drive strategic technology change across a diverse and evolving IT landscape
- Work with senior stakeholders, technical teams, and external suppliers
- Coordinate multiple workstreams
- Manage project scope, budget, risks, resources, governance, project controls, and delivery outcomes
- Plan and manage applications and infrastructure projects in complex business environments undergoing transformation, integration, or M&A activities
- Use reporting tools to monitor project activities and analyse project performance
Requirements:
- Strong experience planning and managing multiple projects in an IT infrastructure or application environment
- Experience working within the oil and gas industry
- Basic understanding of Project Online
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to develop and explain project goals and objectives to project teams and stakeholders
- Good business acumen, including industry and domain-specific knowledge of the organisation and its business units
- Familiarity with industry trends and innovation and their use in driving digital business
- Good project planning and execution skills
- Ability to develop projects and deliver them within financial and resource constraints
- Proven track record using reporting tools to monitor project activities and analyse project performance
- Strong knowledge of project management principles, including Waterfall or Agile
- Qualification in one project delivery methodology or framework, such as PMI standards, PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or MSP
- Experience with other project delivery methodologies or frameworks
