Job Description

IT Project Manager delivering complex applications and infrastructure initiatives for Sword, a business technology solutions provider. Leading energy-sector transformation, governance, budgets, risks, suppliers, and delivery outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the successful delivery of complex technology initiatives within the energy sector
  • Manage the full project lifecycle
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to high quality standards
  • Drive strategic technology change across a diverse and evolving IT landscape
  • Work with senior stakeholders, technical teams, and external suppliers
  • Coordinate multiple workstreams
  • Manage project scope, budget, risks, resources, governance, project controls, and delivery outcomes
  • Plan and manage applications and infrastructure projects in complex business environments undergoing transformation, integration, or M&A activities
  • Use reporting tools to monitor project activities and analyse project performance

Requirements:

  • Strong experience planning and managing multiple projects in an IT infrastructure or application environment
  • Experience working within the oil and gas industry
  • Basic understanding of Project Online
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to develop and explain project goals and objectives to project teams and stakeholders
  • Good business acumen, including industry and domain-specific knowledge of the organisation and its business units
  • Familiarity with industry trends and innovation and their use in driving digital business
  • Good project planning and execution skills
  • Ability to develop projects and deliver them within financial and resource constraints
  • Proven track record using reporting tools to monitor project activities and analyse project performance
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles, including Waterfall or Agile
  • Qualification in one project delivery methodology or framework, such as PMI standards, PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or MSP
  • Experience with other project delivery methodologies or frameworks
