Job Description
Provider Education Support Specialist reviewing medical documentation and coding compliance for Ventra Health’s radiology revenue-cycle services. Delivering feedback and trend analysis to improve practitioner documentation.
Responsibilities:
- Review provider documentation by chart daily for Coding Production as assigned by the Director of Physician Education
- Provide weekly and monthly feedback to the Documentation Specialist on documentation trends
- Perform ongoing analysis of medical record documentation
- Support Senior Provider Education Specialists in focused areas of documentation needs
- Perform special projects and other assigned duties
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent required
- At least four (4) years of coding experience
- Two (2) years of auditing experience
- Strong knowledge of Emergency Medicine Coding and Documentation guidelines
- Knowledge of medical record documentation requirements
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to initiate and maintain professional relationships
- Ability to take initiative and troubleshoot while focusing on innovative solutions
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and appropriately handle highly sensitive and confidential information
- Ability to remain flexible and work within a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate with diverse personalities tactfully, maturely, and professionally
