Job Description
Regional Manager leading specialty pharmaceutical sales teams at Azurity Pharmaceuticals. Coaching representatives, optimizing territories, and executing product strategies across the Northeast.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct management, coaching, and leadership to a district of Therapeutic Sales Specialists
- Develop and implement business plans for assigned districts
- Assist individual TSS employees in using the next-generation way of working and next-best-action engine
- Execute strategy and direction for the Specialty Franchise
- Collaborate with Commercial Operations to optimize field force alignment
- Drive creative customer engagement through virtual and face-to-face selling
- Build and develop a high-performing, diverse team through recruitment, development, and retention
- Ensure product strategies and messages are communicated and executed according to plan
- Use the Azurity Commercial Excellence (ACE) platform for CRM and customer engagement analysis, sales force strategy, targeting, territory alignment, reporting, and incentive plans
- Execute strategies to increase sales routing and overall efficiency
- Partner on training for product knowledge, selling skills, systems, processes, and reporting accuracy
- Maximize business opportunities and address customer needs with cross-functional teams
- Partner with HR on recruitment, employee development, and performance management plans
- Collect and analyze internal and external data to support business decisions
- Report to the Sales Director and collaborate with Commercial Leadership, Commercial Operations & Analytics, Marketing, Market Access & Strategic Accounts, Sales Training, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Legal, Compliance, and Finance
Requirements:
- BA or BS degree (MBA or advanced degree a plus)
- 3+ years of progressive experience in specialty pharmaceutical sales, including field sales management and product launch experience as a representative and sales leader
- Expertise in customer-facing organization sales strategy and optimization within multi-channel customers, with strong pharmacy-related success
- Strong leadership, team building, and organizational skills
- Proven ability to coach and develop sales professionals and coordinate functional business activities
- Strong strategic and analytical skills
- Experience utilizing syndicated sales data by customer channel, longitudinal patient-level data, and payer-level data
- Strong communication skills and ability to influence and align at all levels of the organization
- Effective teamwork and collaboration skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment and handle multiple product launches across therapeutic areas
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical regulatory/legal environment and compliance requirements for interactions with healthcare professionals, including the PhRMA Code
- Strong understanding of the Retail and Institutional Marketplace
- Knowledge of CRM call reporting and dashboard systems
- Extensive proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook
- Approximately 75% travel, including overnight stays
- Must be able to sit for long periods; frequently stand, walk, sit, talk, and/or hear
- May occasionally climb stairs and/or ride elevators
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to manipulate a keyboard and operate a telephone and hand-held devices
