Job Description

Residential solar pricing intern supporting incentives, payments, and operational processes at IGS Energy. Updating financial models and analyzing solar, battery, and storage markets.

Responsibilities:

  • Support billing and collections, document management, UCC and SREC applications, solar system monitoring, reporting and analytics, contract management, marketing, quality assurance, data analysis, finance and accounting, legal and regulatory, customer service, and information technology functions
  • Assist with day-to-day processes supporting residential solar incentives, payments, and related business operations
  • Develop and update user guides, job aids, and training documentation
  • Audit completed work, identify discrepancies, make corrections, and provide status updates to management
  • Collaborate with internal teams and IGS Engineering, Procurement, and Construction partners
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, tools, and business processes
  • Help meet accuracy, service level, financial, and operational targets
  • Update and enhance residential solar and storage pricing and financial models, including project inputs, model structure, and supporting documentation
  • Research current and future residential products and markets, including customer savings, developer margins, and economic factors across solar, battery, and solar-plus-storage offerings

Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Economics, or a related field
  • Solar or renewable energy career interest and/or experience is a plus
  • Advanced Excel skills, including business case or financial modeling, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, nested IF statements, and Boolean logic
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and SharePoint
  • Strong analytical thinking, technology aptitude, and problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and basic document management skills
  • Willingness to learn new systems, tools, and technologies
  • Ability to adapt, grow, and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving work environment
  • Positive attitude, self-motivation, and results-oriented approach
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis
