Job Description
Remote Reverse Mortgage Processor processing FHA and reverse mortgage loans for Longbridge, a senior home equity solutions provider. Managing documentation, underwriting conditions, compliance, and closing preparation.
Responsibilities:
- Process applications from submission through underwriting and closing
- Gather initial loan file documents and complete pre-review
- Ensure borrower-qualification documents are complete and entered into LOS systems
- Submit files to Underwriting
- Review approval conditions for accuracy and clear them as needed
- Communicate daily with loan officers, borrowers, underwriters, closers, AMCs, and title companies
- Review, upload, organize, and label documentation in the loan imaging system
- Analyze credit, income, tax returns, asset documents, and payment history
- Clear loan conditions for final loan approval
- Conduct final data review before transferring files to the closing department
- Ensure confidentiality of client files
- Perform other mortgage- or company-related tasks assigned by Management
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years FHA processing experience preferred
- Reverse mortgage processing experience required
- Strong understanding of mortgage lending regulatory compliance, including TILA, RESPA, Reg B, and Reg C
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and use problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and professional interaction with internal and external customers
- Detail-oriented and highly motivated to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Must reside outside MA, CT, and NH due to state employment law requirements
