Job Description
Remote Reverse Mortgage Processor handling FHA loan files from application through closing. Supporting Longbridge’s home-equity solutions for seniors through compliant processing and borrower service.
Responsibilities:
- Process applications from submission through underwriting and closing
- Gather initial loan file documents and complete pre-review
- Ensure borrower-qualifying documents are complete and entered into loan origination systems
- Submit files to Underwriting
- Review approval conditions for accuracy and clear them or resubmit them to Underwriting in a timely manner
- Communicate daily with loan officers, borrowers, underwriters, closers, AMCs, and title companies
- Review, upload, organize, and label file documentation in the loan imaging system
- Analyze credit, income, tax returns, asset documents, and payment history
- Clear loan conditions for final loan approval
- Perform final data review before transfer to the closing department
- Complete other mortgage- or company-related tasks assigned by Management
- Demonstrate professional behavior with colleagues, management, and customers
- Work independently and as part of a team
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years FHA Processing experience preferred
- Must have reverse processing experience
- Strong understanding of mortgage lending regulatory compliance, including TILA, RESPA, Reg B, and Reg C
- Ability to exercise independent judgment and use problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize workloads to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently with exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and professional interaction with internal and external customers
- Detail-oriented and highly motivated to work in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to ensure confidentiality of client files
