Job Description
RVP leading Tanium’s Solutions Engineering team for enterprise IT and security customers. Driving technical sales, customer adoption, regional performance, and strategic account execution.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of Solutions Engineers serving customers and prospects by understanding challenges and demonstrating Tanium’s value proposition.
- Partner with Sales to deliver revenue and manage the customer journey from technical discovery through adoption, value realization, and expansion.
- Identify and remove roadblocks affecting team execution, escalating and resolving issues quickly.
- Foster accountability and ensure team members deliver against key metrics.
- Partner with Sales leadership on pipeline, revenue, and customer outcomes.
- Hire, onboard, motivate, retain, coach, mentor, and manage team members.
- Ensure ongoing and current technical enablement.
- Drive regional results through data-driven decisions and resource planning.
- Facilitate team meetings, collaboration, problem solving, and feedback.
- Create and manage strategic account and territory assignments.
- Represent partner and customer perspectives to influence product direction and feature priorities.
- Lead innovation initiatives and technical pre-sales opportunities, including technical sales conversations and demonstrations.
- Lead or participate in marketing events from a technical perspective.
- Assist other regions and areas as needed.
Requirements:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience required
- 8+ years in the industry with solid technical skills in networking, security, operations, scripting, and/or programming
- Proven effective leadership of a technical team
- Passion for leading teams, with empathy, patience, inclusiveness, discretion, and demonstrated mentorship of technologists
- Ability to translate corporate strategy into tactical execution and hold teams accountable using prioritization, trend analysis, and data
- Experience working with large enterprise customers
- Experience leading strategic pre-sales opportunities
- Critical thinking and problem solving
- Excellent organizational skills
- Good judgment and ability to weigh cost and value
- Mastered executive communication and emotional intelligence
- Strong influence skills with teams and strategic customers
- Ability to work in the CT time zone
- Ability to travel 30–50%
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, MIS, or similar experience is a plus
