Job Description
Sales Agronomist Lead responsible for agronomic strategy and team leadership. Partnering with business unit leadership for product adoption and revenue growth in U.S. regions.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a team of Sales Agronomist
- Drive agronomic strategy, product adoption, and revenue growth across the Business Unit
- Partner closely with BU leadership to align agronomy execution with business priorities
- Build a high-performing, collaborative team
- Lead a team of Seed Sales Agronomists, Crop Protection Sales Agronomist, and Market Development Agronomists
- Develop and execute agronomic strategies aligned to business priorities
- Increase focus on key growth areas including CPP and seed portfolio expansion
- Support execution of account plans to grow revenue and margin
- Foster collaboration across MDA, CPSA, SSA, and broader sales teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture or business-related field
- 5+ years of industry experience
- Experience coaching, training and executing technical agronomic decisions
- Understanding of seed crop growth and development and physiology for core crops relevant to geography
- Ability to create working relationships internally and externally while leading through influence at all levels in an organization
- Ability to make sound and timely decisions
- Experience demonstrating agility and leading/adapting quickly to change
- Must have current and valid state driver’s license
- Ability to travel up to 50%, some evenings and weekends; may require working long hours during peak seasons
- Prefer candidate to live in the Central or Eastern US but not required
