Job Description
Sales Engineer supporting enterprise and midmarket sales for Sophos, an AI-driven cybersecurity company. Designing solutions, conducting demos, and enabling partners and customers.
Responsibilities:
- Support sales by using technical sales skills to explain complex topics and convince prospects to purchase Sophos solutions
- Assist partner and customer technical staff with solution design and architecture based on sizing and resiliency guidelines
- Conduct product and company demonstrations and presentations, including to larger audiences
- Qualify sales opportunities and determine solution requirements and specifications with technical staff
- Collect and aggregate partner feedback for other departments, including Product Management
- Address partner questions and requirements
- Assist with and manage frequent technical evaluations with partners
- Determine technical requirements, match them to Sophos solutions, make product trials and evaluations successful, and generate business
- Present to and train larger audiences
Requirements:
- Technical expertise in Enterprise Architecture components, including network design, virtualization, directory services, firewalls, and APIs
- Strong technical expertise in firewall and network products
- Technical expertise in endpoint products and MDR/SOC services
- Knowledge of AI technologies and tools
- Understanding of public cloud infrastructure technologies
- Experience working with and supporting channel partners
- Good presentation skills, including delivering effective technical presentations to technical or non-technical management audiences unassisted
- Ability to link product features to business benefits and requirements
- Ability to perform needs assessments and understand technical needs, fit, pain points, and competitive threats
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work hands-on with partners and customers on technical requirements and configuration issues
- Full driving license required
- Willingness to travel frequently within Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, and occasionally internationally for conferences and training
- Legal authorization to work in Germany without employer sponsorship
