Job Description
Sales Manager selling Axiell’s cultural-sector SaaS to museums, archives, and public institutions across Germany. Managing consultative sales, tenders, demonstrations, and long-term customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Acquire new customers in the museum and archive sector
- Manage and develop existing customer relationships
- Conduct product presentations and demonstrations
- Advise customers on digitalization and transformation projects
- Handle and coordinate public tenders
- Prepare proposals and cost calculations
- Lead contract negotiations
- Maintain and further develop the sales pipeline
- Attend trade fairs, conferences, and industry events
- Build a network within the museum and archive landscape
- Collaborate with international teams across Sales, Product, Project Management, and Support
- Manage the entire sales process, from initial contact through contract signing and long-term customer development
Requirements:
- Experience selling software solutions
- Ability to build long-term customer relationships
- Ability to explain complex solutions clearly and understandably
- Interest in culture, museums, or archives
- Structured, self-directed approach to work
- Confident in working with a range of stakeholders
- Excellent German communication skills
- Proficient in English for collaboration with international colleagues
- Patient, consultative sales approach rather than aggressive selling
- Ability to build trust and think long term
- Enjoy supporting people through change processes
- Curious and open to new technologies
- Experience with public tenders, cultural institutions, or complex software projects is a plus
- English-language CV preferred
