Job Description
Sales Manager directing quoting, fulfillment, pricing, and customer distribution for AGI’s agricultural infrastructure solutions. Leading sales teams across the remote Midwest United States.
Responsibilities:
- Direct the distribution or movement of products or services to customers
- Coordinate sales distribution by establishing sales territories, quotas, and goals
- Establish training programs for sales representatives
- Analyze sales statistics to determine sales potential and inventory requirements
- Monitor customer preferences
- Plan and direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations
- Oversee daily activities of sales staff
- Determine price schedules and discount rates
- Review operational records and project sales reports to determine profitability
- Prepare budgets and approve budget expenditures
- Direct and coordinate sales activities for manufactured products and services
- Confer with potential customers regarding product needs and advise on product purchases
- Represent the company at trade association meetings
- Develop pricing strategies balancing company objectives and customer satisfaction
- Conduct economic and commercial surveys to identify potential markets
- Identify, develop, and evaluate marketing strategy based on company objectives, market characteristics, and cost and markup factors
Requirements:
- Associate degree (two-year college or technical school)
- 5+ years related experience within the building industry
- Expertise in quoting, order fulfillment, and delivery
- Ability to achieve company-directed KPIs related to quoting and order fulfillment, including turnaround time, productivity, and quality
- Experience defining fulfillment and product metrics and using them to drive decisions
- Strong interpersonal, counseling, and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Previous experience capturing metrics and producing various reports
- Ability to use and train employees on quoting and fulfillment platform
- Ability to forecast and manage workloads, including prioritizing orders
- Working knowledge and demonstrated experience with shipping practices and providers
- Valid driver's license and passport for travel required
- Ability to travel domestically approximately 15% of the time
- Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
