Job Description

Security Business Analyst supporting Ping Identity and Okta access-management engagements at GuidePoint Security. Documenting requirements, coordinating delivery, and preparing client deliverables remotely.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in documenting business and technical requirements for Access Management engagements involving Ping Identity and Okta
  • Participate in discovery sessions and workshops; capture notes, action items, and decisions
  • Draft functional specifications, user stories, and use case documentation under senior guidance
  • Maintain requirements traceability matrices
  • Flag requirements gaps, conflicts, and dependencies
  • Create and update process flow diagrams and current/future-state documentation for authentication and federation workflows
  • Document integration requirements for SSO, MFA, and API security implementations
  • Maintain engagement plans, timelines, milestones, and task tracking
  • Track deliverables, action items, decisions, dependencies, risks, issues, and blockers
  • Prepare kickoff, status-call, and steering-committee materials
  • Produce status reports and engagement dashboards
  • Support engagement closeout, documentation organization, and knowledge-transfer preparation
  • Support day-to-day client communications and coordinate meetings, workshops, and review sessions
  • Prepare agendas, capture minutes, distribute action items, and draft client-facing communications
  • Review deliverables for completeness and formatting before senior review
  • Maintain documentation standards, templates, naming conventions, and repository organization
  • Update delivery playbooks, templates, and standard operating procedures
  • Participate in lessons-learned sessions and document findings
  • Support presales information gathering for LOE estimates and SOW preparation
  • Collaborate with senior consultants, architects, engagement leads, client technical teams, and GuidePoint delivery teams

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field — or equivalent work experience
  • 0–2 years of experience in business analysis, IT coordination, or professional services support; internships and co-ops count
  • Basic conceptual understanding of Identity and Access Management
  • Conceptual understanding of Single Sign-On (SSO) and federation, including SAML, OAuth, and OIDC
  • Understanding of Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) and its role in security
  • General understanding of identity platforms within enterprise security
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficiency with collaboration tools such as Smartsheet, Jira, Confluence, or equivalent
  • Self-starter mentality with a willingness to learn
  • Up to 10% travel

  • Substantial movement of wrists, hands, and/or fingers for a minimum of 8 hours a day
  • Close visual acuity for computer terminal viewing and/or extensive reading for a minimum of 8 hours a day
