Job Description
Remote semiconductor support technician resolving customer device issues via phone and email. Supporting products across multimedia, power, connectivity, and sensing technologies.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for semiconductor products via phone and email
- Use support systems/tools and technical/functional knowledge to remotely resolve customer problems
- Understand customer inquiries and escalate them to the next level when needed
- Review open customer issues daily and update customers on escalated case status
- Help customers understand products and navigate support websites and online customer forums
- Collaborate across multiple teams toward common goals
- Develop and maintain working relationships with client management, coworkers, customer representatives, engineers, distributors, business owners, and VARs
Requirements:
- AAS degree in Electronics
- Detailed understanding of schematics/datasheets for semiconductor device functionality, including multimedia, power, connectivity, and sensing technologies
- High level of analytical skills; ability to analyze and interpret technical inquiries
- Competency in oral and written communication for internal and external personnel at all levels
- Ability to communicate product service matters through email, reports, or orally to varied audiences
- Ability to read, interpret, simplify, and explain technical product information
- Ability to multitask and prioritize job requirements
- Strong personal organization and time management skills
- Equivalent work experience or related training
- Minimum of 2+ years' experience in technical customer service, preferably in the Semiconductor industry, with Semiconductor Devices
- Customer support call center environment is a plus
- Detailed and process-oriented
- Fully remote in select states
