Job Description
Senior Backend Developer building autonomous AI agents for Hausverwalter.ai’s property-management platform. Improving ticket, knowledge-base, voice, and LLM infrastructure experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Build and improve autonomous Inbox-Agents triggered by new activity inside tickets
- Build agent templates customers can use
- Determine when agents should escalate to humans and ensure they follow processes
- Work directly with property managers to improve agent performance
- Design harness engineering approaches for system prompts, skills, and tool usage
- Improve the custom knowledge base and AI knowledge retrieval
- Ensure support answers are added to the knowledge base for future agent use
- Build voice agents on LiveKit for phone calls
- Select appropriate LLMs, cache and stream responses, retry provider failures, compact context, optimize RAG search, track provider usage, reduce costs, and run evaluations
- Develop within a TypeScript-based stack using Convex, Next.js, React, Tailwind, shadcn/ui, Vercel AI SDK, and Convex Agent Component
Requirements:
- Fluent German is required
- Fluent in German and English
- More than 2 years of experience building production agents AI-native in production
- Shipped agentic features real users rely on
- Opinions on retrieval, evals, tool design, and where today's frontier models break down
- Builder first; willing to ship a rough v1 quickly
- Up to date with new AI models and research
- Writing almost all code with AI
- Used to working independently and taking full responsibility for an area after it goes live
- Comfortable talking to customers and turning feedback into product decisions
- Quick to learn new things and a generalist rather than a specialist
- Tech stack is not important; AI will be writing 100% of the code
