Job Description
Senior Clinical Application Analyst supporting Epic Ambulatory and Healthy Planet/Compass Rose EMR systems at UAMS. Building, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining clinical applications.
Responsibilities:
- Support IT EMR Services and system applications, primarily Epic Ambulatory (Healthy/Compass Rose)
- Build, configure, test, implement, and maintain assigned system applications
- Perform in-depth analysis, troubleshooting, data collection, and root cause analysis
- Identify and implement solutions for system or usage issues
- Analyze, review, and test product releases and communicate needed changes to operations
- Document and follow system change control procedures
- Collaborate with analysts, software vendors, and operations to maintain system integrity and meet business needs
- Research, analyze, facilitate, and implement business and system workflows for process improvement
- Identify best practices and implement standardization opportunities
- Prepare activity and other reports
- Provide guidance and mentoring to junior analysts
- Attain and maintain applicable certifications
- Provide on-call application support
- Support application security and role-based access requirements
- Lead and participate in IT projects, implementations, upgrades, testing, and software evaluations
- Use project management tools and methodologies to support project scope, timelines, and objectives
Requirements:
- Master's degree in clinical, healthcare, business, IT, or related field plus three (3) years of IT experience or clinical/operational experience, or any combination of the two
- Bachelor's degree in clinical, healthcare, business, IT, or related field plus five (5) years of IT experience or clinical/operational experience or any combination of the two
- Associate's degree in clinical, healthcare, business, IT, or related field plus seven (7) years of IT experience or clinical/operational experience or any combination of the two
- High School diploma plus nine (9) years of IT experience or clinical/operational experience or any combination of the two required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Epic Ambulatory and Epic Healthy Planet/Compass Rose certification, or obtain certification within 12 months per application of the date of the last required class to be eligible for certification
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- Annual TB Screening and Criminal Background Check
