Job Description

Senior Coating Advisor supporting Hempel’s industrial coating solutions through inspections, application oversight, and customer training. Remote U.S. role traveling extensively to project jobsites.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support to sales teams, customers and stakeholders
  • Perform physical inspections and condition surveys
  • Oversee product application activities as needed
  • Conduct technical analysis of product specifications
  • Conduct technical training and presentations
  • Prepare and present technical briefings for customer and company representatives
  • Prepare inspection reports using digital reporting software
  • Evaluate sales proposals for technical accuracy and consistency with quality and performance standards
  • Work remotely and travel to jobsites when dispatched or assigned projects
  • Support applicators, distributors, contractors, engineers and consultants in proper product use and application
  • Understand customer needs and challenges and provide services that strengthen coating solutions
  • Collaborate with Sales, R&D, Customer Care and other internal functions
  • Provide technical advisory support on Hempel products and systems
  • Communicate product features and benefits as a brand and product-line ambassador
  • Ensure compliance with Product Data Sheets, guide specifications, technical and industrial standards, procedures and best painting/application practices
  • Collect and record data and prepare work progress reports including testing, analysis and interpretation
  • Provide onsite training to coatings applicators and Hempel Sales teams
  • Educate customers about coating solution performance and Technical Services value
  • Generate and distribute accurate company and customer reports in a timely manner
  • Use PPE and technical equipment responsibly and ensure equipment is calibrated, maintained and in good condition
  • Monitor and manage project paint inventory and update Sales teams to avoid shortages
  • Participate in internal and external Technical Services strategy activities, surveys and troubleshooting

Requirements:

  • High school diploma/Bachelor degree
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Coating Industry
  • English business proficiency (oral and written)
  • MS office basic level
  • General computer literacy
  • Willing to travel extensively (up to 80%, domestic and international) and with flexible schedules
  • Spanish an advantage
  • Marine coating experience is a plus
  • NACE certification is a plus
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
