Job Description
Senior Consulting Engineer supporting ClickHouse’s real-time analytics and data warehousing platform across LATAM. Delivering customer architecture, migrations, implementations, consultative support, and high-tier troubleshooting.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as a team member on customer projects, focusing on design, architecture, integration, implementation, and documentation
- Conduct research, benchmarking, performance and functional testing, reference architecture, sizing, migration, integration, development, and tooling
- Provide case-initiated consultative support to strategic users, customers, and prospects for implementation, onboarding, production launches, and POCs
- Provide architectural, technical, and migration assistance, including hands-on tasks
- Handle L1 to L3 support cases and communications when not assigned to customer projects
- Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Sales on the product roadmap and account plans
- Develop public and internal documentation, Knowledge Base articles, ClickHouse Learning content, reference architectures, blogs, and benchmark results
- Assist with hiring and mentoring new team members
- Support scheduling and on-call needs for high-quality 24x7 support in a global, distributed environment
- Travel onsite regionally up to an estimated 35%
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in Professional Services, Support, Technical Accounts Management, Engineering/SRE, and/or Project Management roles
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience implementing, operating, and/or supporting scalable, fault-tolerant, distributed DBMS
- Technical breadth and depth in DBMS, OLAP, Cloud/SaaS platforms, distributed systems software engineering, Linux/Unix, Kubernetes, system or network administration, and big data
- Experience leading and shipping large-scope technical projects with multiple experienced engineers
- Expertise with a public cloud provider such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and its infrastructure-as-a-service offerings, such as EC2
- Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a customer-facing role
- Ability to collaborate with Support Services, Engineering, and Sales teams
- Availability for scheduling and on-call needs for 24x7 global support
- Ability to travel onsite regionally up to an estimated 35%
- Experience with ClickHouse, OSS/open-source technologies, and data pipelines such as Kafka, Kinesis, Spark, or RabbitMQ is a bonus
