Job Description
Senior Data Engineer building Azure cloud data pipelines for Nimble Gravity, a growth-focused data solutions company. Leading ETL, transformation, warehousing, and data engineering teams.
Responsibilities:
- Design end-to-end data pipelines that collect, process, transform, and load data from various sources into the cloud environment
- Collaborate with data architects and stakeholders to ensure pipeline scalability, reliability, and performance
- Develop complex data transformation logic for analysis and reporting
- Build and optimize ETL processes to ensure data quality and integrity
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver actionable insights
- Lead a team of data engineers by providing technical guidance and mentorship
- Stay current with cloud technology and data engineering advancements
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Proven experience (5+ years) as a Data Engineer, with a focus on cloud-based solutions
- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure, including hands-on experience with relevant services
- Experience with Azure Databricks, Azure SQL Database, and Azure Synapse Analytics
- Experience with Python, PySpark, and SparkSQL
- Experience with Azure Data Factory and Logic Apps
- Experience with Azure Data Storage Gen2
- Experience with Kafka and Azure Event Hubs
- Proficiency in data modeling, ETL/ELT processes, and data warehousing concepts
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and data processing frameworks such as Apache Spark
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex data engineering issues
- Strong leadership skills, with ability to guide and mentor junior team members
- Relevant Microsoft Azure data certifications are a plus
- Must be eligible to work in the United States; Nimble Gravity does not sponsor H1B visas
