Job Description
Data Scientist entwickelt produktive Machine-Learning-Modelle für Europace, Deutschlands Plattform für Ratenkredite. Verantwortung von der Modellidee bis zum Deployment und zur Optimierung.
Responsibilities:
- Develop machine learning models to support concrete decisions in the installment lending business
- Apply modern methods from data science, predictive analytics, and artificial intelligence
- Ideally, support the development of AI features and LLM-based applications for digital installment lending processes
- Work closely with Data Engineering, Product Management, and Data Analytics
- Leverage the existing data foundation to develop scalable ML solutions
- Guide machine learning models end to end—from ideation and development through evaluation and deployment to production readiness
- Continuously optimize machine learning models in production
- Introduce new approaches in machine learning and artificial intelligence
- Support the ongoing development of data-driven products and use cases
Requirements:
- Several years of experience developing and operating machine learning models for production systems
- Ideally, experience with MLOps
- Proficiency in Python and commonly used machine learning frameworks
- Strong command of model training, evaluation, and continuous improvement in production environments
- Experience with the challenges of production systems
- Ability to bring together technical, business, and data-related requirements
- Ability to translate complex business processes into meaningful machine learning applications, models, and features
- Ideally, initial hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI, or integrating them into applications
- Independent, structured approach to work, combined with a strong sense of ownership and reliability
- Awareness of data protection requirements and the responsible handling of sensitive data
- German language skills at C1 level or higher, both written and spoken
