Job Description
Senior Data Steward advancing data governance, quality, ownership, and metadata at CI&T. Supporting trusted data for enterprise AI transformation and tech-integrated business solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Manage metadata requests and maintain data documentation and catalog information
- Act as a business and governance analyst for data-related initiatives
- Partner with data owners and business stakeholders to define and document data ownership and accountability
- Ensure adherence to data governance policies, standards, and best practices
- Identify data issues and coordinate resolution through appropriate governance processes
- Profile datasets and create basic data quality checks and controls
- Support data-related requests and promote data usability and trust across the organization
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to improve data governance processes and standards
Requirements:
- Proven experience in Data Governance, Data Stewardship, or Data Management roles
- Strong understanding of Data Governance frameworks and practices
- Strong understanding of metadata management
- Strong understanding of Data Quality principles and controls
- Strong understanding of data ownership and data lifecycle management
- Strong understanding of data contracts and governance policies
- Familiarity with Data Engineering concepts, including data ingestion processes and ETL/ELT
- Experience or familiarity with Databricks environments
- Understanding of programming logic and basic knowledge of Python
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Advanced English
- Strong sense of ownership and accountability
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to navigate complex enterprise environments and work across multiple teams
- Collaborative mindset with strong adaptability and resilience
- Ability to translate business requirements into governance processes and standards
- Experience with data catalog and metadata management tools (nice to have)
- Experience implementing or supporting Data Quality initiatives (nice to have)
- Knowledge of modern cloud data platforms and governance solutions (nice to have)
- Experience working in global and cross-functional environments (nice to have)
