Job Description

Senior DevSecOps engineer building secure AWS and Kubernetes platforms for LMI’s federal Navy logistics systems. Automating pipelines, infrastructure, compliance, monitoring, and recovery.

Responsibilities:

  • Architect, build, and maintain GitLab CI/CD pipelines
  • Support migration of legacy repositories and workflows from BitBucket to GitLab
  • Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure across AWS GovCloud, edge, and Navy networks using Terraform, Ansible, and GitLab
  • Drive containerization of mission-critical applications such as NADACS and SPECTR
  • Administer Kubernetes environments
  • Develop and maintain Helm charts
  • Ensure cluster resilience through automated Kubernetes backups and recovery testing using tools such as Velero
  • Automate RHEL image hardening and STIG checklist execution
  • Integrate continuous automated security scanning into pipelines to maintain ATO status
  • Support ICAM integration
  • Establish continuous monitoring, alerting, and reporting using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
  • Manage cryptographic lifecycles, secrets, and automated key rotations
  • Collaborate with developers, DevSecOps engineers, and Navy users to ensure platform stability, security, and speed

Requirements:

  • Active Secret clearance or higher required
  • Must meet DoD 8570/8140 baseline certifications, such as CompTIA Security+ CE
  • 5+ years of experience as a DevSecOps or Platform Engineer in DoD, federal, or highly regulated environments
  • Significant experience deploying and managing AWS GovCloud and hybrid cloud infrastructure
  • Hands-on Kubernetes administration
  • Custom Helm chart development; CKAD or CKA preferred
  • Strong RHEL system administration and automated system/container hardening scripting
  • Advanced proficiency building GitLab pipelines
  • Experience migrating repositories and workflows from BitBucket to GitLab
  • Automation-centric approach and security-first mindset
  • Knowledge of ICAM protocols including SAML, OAuth2, and OIDC
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python
  • Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for a U.S. Government security clearance
  • Only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred as a bonus, not required
  • Prior U.S. Navy program or command-and-control platform experience, IL5+ security/operations experience, and AWS certification are bonus qualifications
