Job Description
Senior Director leading retail client insights, analytics, and sales for Circana, a provider of consumer data and AI solutions. Driving merchandising decisions, growth, and strategic client relationships.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team supporting one of the largest retailers in the United States
- Serve as a strategic partner to senior retail leaders
- Deliver high-impact insights and recommendations influencing merchandising decisions and business growth
- Strengthen the retailer’s reliance on Circana data and solutions
- Identify and pursue opportunities to expand client relationships
- Translate complex data into actionable insights
- Lead end-to-end sales processes, including prospecting, needs assessment, solution development, negotiation, and closing
- Collaborate with Client Insights, Product, and Analytics teams
- Maintain expertise in retail, CPG, or general merchandise trends
- Build and maintain relationships with client decision-makers and influencers
- Use Circana platforms including Unify+, Liquid Data, and Intelligence Suite
- Meet or exceed individual and team sales goals through pipeline management and account planning
- Champion client success by addressing challenges and identifying growth opportunities
- Provide market feedback to internal teams and contribute to product development
- Lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- MBA or other advanced degree preferred
- 10+ years of experience in client insights, client management, category management, consulting, or syndicated data analytics within the CPG, retail, or consumer goods industries
- Proven track record of leading, coaching, and developing high-performing teams
- Experience building and managing senior-level client relationships and serving as a trusted strategic advisor
- Expertise with syndicated data platforms such as Circana/IRI, Nielsen, or Numerator
- Experience with Tableau and Power BI
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong leadership, analytics, storytelling, client management, and change management skills
- Advanced ability to conceive, manage, and deliver fact-based analyses focused on consumer solutions
- Ability to pass a background check, if required by local legislation
