Job Description
Epic Clinical Analyst Sr responsible for meeting operational and technical requirements for clinical applications at Cottage Health. Working within CH Clinical Informatics and Care Delivery Applications department.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for analyzing, configuring, developing, testing, implementing, supporting and maintaining Epic clinical applications, solutions and business processes to meet operational and technical requirements.
- Obtains and maintains in-depth knowledge of software functionality and acquires and utilizes knowledge of operational workflows to be implemented.
- Areas of responsibility may include: Laboratory (Beaker), Clin Doc, Radiology (Radiant), Oncology (Beacon), Emergency Department (ASAP), OR/Anesthesia (Optime), Cardiology (Cupid).
Requirements:
- Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in nursing, information technology, allied health professions, business or a related field.
- The equivalent of 8 years of progressively responsible work experience with an emphasis in clinical information applications and systems in health care, or a combination of education and experience, may be substituted for a degree.
- Minimum: Current Epic certification for assigned application(s).
- Preferred: License or certification in related clinical field or information systems.
- Minimum: Working knowledge of IT solutions and interfaces, operating platforms and network software.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools.
- Demonstrated understanding of clinical workflows and terminology specific to appropriate clinical department.
- Minimum: 5 years of analyst experience in similar clinical system implementation or EHR system support.
- Preferred: 5 years of analyst experience in similar clinical system implementation or EHR system support AND 5 years of project management or clinical experience is the areas of Radiology, Laboratory OR/Anesthesia, Oncology, Emergency Department, Cardiology or other appropriate healthcare area.
