Job Description
Senior Financial Accountant managing close, lease, debt, and fixed-asset accounting for Consensus Cloud Solutions’ healthcare data exchange business. Preparing reporting schedules and supporting US GAAP compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Handle general accounting responsibilities, primarily expense and balance sheet accounts
- Maintain full ownership of the accuracy and logical consistency of assigned tasks while complying with internal controls
- Participate in monthly and quarterly close activities, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analyses
- Support lease accounting schedules under ASC 842, including expirations, renewals, and period-end adjustments
- Maintain and update corporate debt schedules for debt instruments and credit facilities, including interest accruals and fee calculations
- Oversee or support the fixed asset lifecycle, including capitalization reviews, depreciation tracking, roll-forwards, and retirement processing
- Prepare disclosure schedules for quarterly and annual financial filings
- Partner with FP&A, Tax, Internal Audit, and Legal to streamline financial workflows and solve operational challenges
- Participate in departmental projects and initiatives
- Perform other assigned or requested duties
Requirements:
- 2+ years of accounting experience under US GAAP
- 1+ years of cloud-based accounting software experience (Oracle Fusion is a plus)
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP and pivot tables
- Deep understanding and practical application of accrual accounting principles under US GAAP
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with ability to identify trends, anomalies, and root causes
- Detail-oriented and highly organized with strong project management skills
- Proficient in time management, task prioritization, and meeting tight deadlines
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to articulate financial concepts clearly to financial and non-financial stakeholders
- BA or BS in accounting or related discipline required
- CPA preferred
- Big 4 experience preferred
- Must be eligible to work in the U.S.; sponsorship is not available
- Must be able to sit for long periods and handle long periods of screen time
