Job Description
Senior Financial Analyst supporting and coordinating the annual budgeting process for UW Health. Managing payroll systems and preparing financial analyses to ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Support and coordinate the organization’s annual budgeting process, including budget system administration, process management, implementation, and communication across all levels of the organization.
- Manage and maintain the budget payroll system, ensuring accurate reporting and analysis of Full-Time Equivalents (FTEs), salary expenditures, and other key financial metrics.
- Contribute to the development and execution of operational budgets, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and strategic priorities.
- Prepare financial and statistical analyses, dashboards, graphs, and presentation materials, providing analytical support to finance teams and operational stakeholders.
- Generate and review month-end financial reports related to volume statistics, ensuring accuracy and timely distribution.
- Serve as a key resource for budget and financial inquiries by maintaining documentation, FAQs, and training materials. Provide timely responses to management requests regarding financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and other accounting-related matters.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or another related field Required
- Four (4) years of relevant finance or accounting experience may be considered in lieu of the degree in addition to the experience below
- Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or another related field Preferred
- 4 years of experience in accounting or finance that includes experience with computer systems, spreadsheet and database applications, data flow, report creation, and data interpretation Required
- 6 years of experience in accounting or finance within a healthcare setting Preferred
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Preferred
