Job Description
Senior AI Engineer embedding with clinical and product teams to ship governed AI features. Building evaluation-driven agentic systems for Prenuvo’s proactive whole-body healthcare platform.
Responsibilities:
- Embed with one or two teams per cycle and own AI solutions end to end, from intake brief through production deployment and monitoring
- Decide whether to build, wrap, or vet each initiative and establish its validation threshold
- Build agentic capabilities including tool/function calling, RAG, MCP integrations, multi-step orchestration, and human-in-the-loop checkpoints
- Architect solutions on Prenuvo’s shared AI platform, including model serving, AWS Bedrock foundation-model contracts, evaluation harnesses, monitoring, tool registry, and prompt guardrails
- Define acceptance criteria, offline and online evaluations, and escalation triggers before development
- Run initiatives through AI intake and risk categorization processes
- Leave reusable validated templates, registered tools, or reference architectures after each engagement
- Increase AI fluency across teams through design reviews and office hours
- Enable teams to ship AI features independently using shared templates and champions
Requirements:
- Six or more years building and delivering product-grade software
- Track record of shipping AI-powered features to production, including LLM and/or imaging using tool calling, RAG, or agent orchestration
- Experienced full-stack developer
- Probabilistic-software literacy, including model evaluation and reasoning about failure modes
- Ability to hold and explain a validation bar with senior clinical, product, and engineering stakeholders
- Product delivery skills, including scoping requests, prioritization, and translating product needs into validated designs
- Strong Python skills
- Practical cloud engineering and deployment experience, including APIs; AWS and Bedrock ideally
- Comfort working directly inside another team’s codebase
- Hands-on experience with modern evaluation frameworks and human-in-the-loop design
- Experience building evaluation harnesses and acceptance criteria
- Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire and must not require current or future employer visa sponsorship
- Successful candidates must undergo a background check
- Nice to have: regulated, clinical, or healthcare-data experience; FDA, Health Canada, ISO 13485, or equivalent familiarity; PHI experience; AWS/Bedrock; MCP; consulting, solutions architecture, or forward-deployed experience
