Job Description
Senior PHP/Laravel developer building a legal-tech platform for E-commerce businesses. Leading fullstack projects from architecture through go-live with Laravel and Livewire.
Responsibilities:
- Develop a legal-tech platform that digitizes and automates legal processes for e-commerce businesses
- Analyze requirements and design solution architectures
- Define data models and interfaces, and estimate project effort
- Take responsibility for projects from conception through go-live
- Break down and prioritize tasks, monitor progress, make technical decisions, and remove blockers
- Provide technical leadership to other developers through technical guidance, pairing, and code reviews
- Document architecture and technical decisions, and facilitate knowledge sharing within the team
- Regularly report on status, risks, and next steps to the Team Lead, Product Owner, and stakeholders
- Develop full-stack applications using Laravel, Livewire, Alpine.js, Flux UI, and Tailwind CSS
- Independently deliver smaller projects and work on larger projects as part of a team
- Evaluate, implement, and document integrations with partner and third-party systems
- Help shape architecture, development standards, and tooling
- Evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and opportunities to use AI
Requirements:
- Several years of experience with PHP and Laravel
- Experience developing web applications across the full stack
- Front-end experience, ideally with Livewire, Alpine.js, Flux UI, and Tailwind CSS
- Experience developing technical concepts and taking responsibility for their implementation
- Experience providing technical leadership for a project team or holding comparable responsibility
- Practical experience conducting code reviews for backend and frontend code
- Proficiency with PHPUnit or Pest
- Experience developing and applying testing strategies in larger codebases
- Proficiency with relational databases, data modeling, and API design
- Experience working in agile teams, ideally with Scrum
- Strong structured communication skills, and the ability to share knowledge, think systemically, and work pragmatically
- Experience using AI tools in day-to-day development
- Experience with DevOps, e-commerce platforms, UX, event-driven architectures, queues, asynchronous processing, and LLM APIs are considered nice-to-have qualifications
