Job Description
Senior Healthcare Data Analyst supporting GDIT and CMS Medicaid oversight. Analyzing claims data and building SQL, Python, and visualization solutions to detect fraud, waste, and abuse.
Responsibilities:
- Perform data analysis, interpretation, and reporting
- Develop rules and methodologies for data collection and analysis
- Research vulnerabilities and high-risk areas within the Medicaid program
- Integrate policy understanding with in-depth claims analysis
- Present analytic findings through written, verbal, and visualization techniques
- Communicate complex studies and recommended actions to varied audiences
- Use critical thinking and exploratory research to understand program rules
- Analyze large datasets to uncover meaningful patterns and trends
- Collaborate with leadership and team members to solve complex challenges
- Support the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services mission to detect and prevent Medicaid fraud, waste, and abuse
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 5+ years of T-MSIS experience conducting advanced analysis of Medicaid data
- Experience with SQL, Python, Tableau, Databricks, Snowflake, or similar analytic, reporting, and dashboard/visualization tools
- Experience building advanced analytic solutions through understanding of Medicaid policy
- Experience building analytics and visualization solutions to detect and prevent fraud, waste, or abuse
- Skills in Big Data, Data Analytics, and Statistical Analysis
- Must complete identity verification using advanced biometrics and artificial intelligence
- Expected to be on camera during virtual interviews
