Job Description

IAM System Analyst, Senior managing identity and access systems at OHSU. Engaging in system improvement and stakeholder alignment within an academic medical center environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Identity & Access Management system improvement and maintenance.
  • Engagement in research with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure the best possible alignment of the new system to the needs of the OHSU community.
  • Ensuring best practices for security, in an academic medical institution, are part of the new solution.
  • Co-manage the program schedule, resourcing and action plans that gain stakeholder buy-in across multiple disciplines including healthcare, research and education.
  • Identity & Access Management (IAM) System Development, Maintenance, and Optimization.
  • Development of new features and enhancements based on IAM best practices and documented requirements from customer engagement and research.
  • Implementation of IAM functionality such as access history, user access certifications, role-based access, and access governance features.
  • Deploy production code updates to development, testing, and production environments, in a seamless process to ensure minimal downtime and customer impact.
  • Develop reports for up/downstream system automation and end-users.
  • Develop and improve testing methodologies and help develop comprehensive test plans to ensure project success.
  • Serve as a SME (subject matter expert) and ambassador to other teams at OHSU and third-party collaborators for IAM systems regarding development, issues, requests, support, and improvements.
  • Conduct research of key stakeholders (business, technical and end users) to ensure the best possible alignment of the IAM system to the account provisioning and access needs of the OHSU community.
  • Diagnose provisioning problems and develop plans to correct problems with appropriate SMEs, prioritize fixes and enhancements, while communicating problem status.
  • Work with DIA team to translate customer requirements for identity data integration and new features into executable specifications which can be used by the wider team to deliver.
  • Ensure that development work and projects are following appropriate change management processes.
  • Create and update internal system, process, and workflow documentation, and share with the DIA development team.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and four years’ work-related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR Bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and six years’ work-related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR Associate’s degree in computer science, a related field, or a clinical field and seven years’ work-related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR Eight years work related experience in the information technology field or a combination of clinical or operational healthcare environments; OR Equivalent combination of education and experience where one year of experience will be substituted for an associate’s degree and two years of experience will be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.
  • Demonstrated experience in user access management and an expert understanding of the principles of user identity and access management.
  • 2+ years direct experience implementing and/or administering large, organization-wide computer systems, applications, or business workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience with enterprise system integration and complex data handling.
  • Demonstrated expertise in programming/code development, with 4+ years of professional experience in Object Oriented Programming in Java, C++, C#, and/or Python.
  • Demonstrated web development, with 2+ years of professional experience in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and/or JavaScript frameworks.
  • Demonstrated experienced managing complex code in GIT or similar revision management system.
  • Demonstration experience with enterprise code deployment through development, testing, and production environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in user access auditing, certification, and/or management.
  • Demonstrated experience with relational databases and familiarity with SQL.
