Job Description
Senior Java Developer designing AI-native cloud-edge software, automation, and optimization applications. Delivering scalable network solutions for tier-1 cellular operators through a wireless technology innovator’s Edgewise platform.
Responsibilities:
- Design system and service architecture for high-performance, scalable, and reliable software
- Translate complex and ambiguous requirements into clear, robust, and scalable technical designs
- Own end-to-end delivery of complex features and modules from design through implementation and production
- Leverage modern coding agents and spec-driven development in an AI-native engineering environment
- Adapt or create solutions using AI tools
- Design and implement complex algorithms
- Provide technical leadership, influence technical decisions, mentor peers, and raise the engineering bar
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex software problems
- Explore, evaluate, and introduce new technologies, tools, and engineering practices
- Build cloud-edge software, automation, and optimization applications for cellular network operators through the client's Edgewise platform
Requirements:
- B.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
- 6+ years of experience in software development with Java
- Strong system architecture and design skills
- Proven experience designing scalable, distributed systems and understanding underlying infrastructure
- Ability to turn complex requirements into scalable technical designs
- Experience designing and implementing complex algorithms and software architectures
- Experience with microservices architecture
- Experience developing large-scale data applications and advanced SQL querying
- Hands-on experience using AI coding tools such as Codex, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or similar AI agents
- Ability to adapt and create solutions with AI coding tools
- Technical leadership potential, initiative, ownership, and ability to drive technical innovation
- Curiosity and drive to learn and adopt new technologies and approaches
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Upper-Intermediate English level or higher
- Java, Spring Boot, microservices, Kubernetes, Linux, cloud platforms, SQL/NoSQL databases, Vertica, large-scale data processing, network automation, and AI-assisted development workflows
- Prior experience as a Tech Lead, Software Architect, or similar senior technical role is advantageous
- Experience building optimization and analytics modules is advantageous
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP is advantageous
- Experience with infrastructure design and Infrastructure-as-Code is advantageous
- Familiarity with Clean Code, SOLID, and high software engineering practices is advantageous
- Experience with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks is advantageous
- Experience with NoSQL and relational databases is advantageous
- Experience with Vertica or other column-oriented databases is advantageous
- Experience with Linux and Kubernetes is advantageous
- Experience with Spec-Driven Development and designing AI-enabled development workflows is a strong advantage
