Job Description
Senior Platform Engineer modernizing Convoso’s AI-powered contact center platform in Go. Building scalable real-time telephony, distributed systems, and analytics infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Architect, write, and maintain production-grade Go microservices for Convoso’s next-generation SaaS platform
- Design high-throughput, low-latency distributed systems coordinating call routing, reporting, AI processing, and customer data synchronization
- Use NATS, JetStream, and Kafka for high-volume asynchronous event streaming
- Build, scale, and optimize real-time voice and communication pipelines
- Manage high-concurrency SIP traffic, media streaming, and call control logic
- Interface with carrier infrastructure for call quality, call placement, and fault-tolerant voice routing
- Work with PostgreSQL and ClickHouse database architectures
- Optimize queries, data structures, and state management for real-time reporting and dashboards
- Identify bottlenecks and optimize code, networking, and memory allocation
- Deploy, operate, and support resilient software in large-scale cloud production environments
- Participate in system design reviews and promote software engineering best practices
- Collaborate with product and infrastructure teams
- Build infrastructure processing millions of real-time interactions daily
- Strengthen the reliability, speed, and capability of Convoso’s flagship product suite
Requirements:
- Professional experience building large-scale, high-concurrency backend software in Go (Golang)
- Hands-on experience with real-time communications platforms and protocols, including FreeSWITCH, Kamailio, SIPGo, Pion WebRTC, Asterisk, or RTPengine
- Proven track record building event-driven architectures using NATS, JetStream, or Apache Kafka
- Experience operating both relational databases (PostgreSQL) and analytical column-oriented databases (ClickHouse) at scale
- Working command of SIP, WebRTC media streams, network packet flow, and core telephony concepts
- Proven experience architecting systems composed of many interdependent microservices operating at high velocity
- Demonstrated track record building software where ultra-low latency is critical
- Experience scaling production infrastructure to support rapid growth in users, events, and concurrent traffic
- Background from communication platforms and CPaaS providers is highly desirable
