Job Description

Senior GitLab DevSecOps Engineer delivering GitLab migrations, enterprise CI/CD, and DevSecOps services. Supporting cleared Department of War, Intelligence Community, and federal customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer GitLab Self-Managed and Dedicated environments, including installation, upgrades, backup and restore, user and group management, runners, Geo replication, and performance tuning
  • Lead enterprise migrations into GitLab from GitHub, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or SVN
  • Use Congregate and direct transfer for migrations
  • Deploy GitLab reference architectures
  • Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines with SAST, DAST, dependency, and container security scanning
  • Integrate compliance frameworks
  • Configure and roll out the GitLab Duo Agent Platform (DAP)
  • Build and customize agents and flows
  • Enable AI-assisted development workflows and advise customers on governance and adoption
  • Deliver customer-facing advisory, documentation, and knowledge transfer to agency teams
  • Lead workshops, cutovers, and secure-environment deployments
  • Operate against defined statements of work, scope and estimate work, and deliver on schedule
  • Work alongside the GitLab Professional Services team under GitLab's methodology

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps or platform engineering
  • Hands-on GitLab administration experience in production (Self-Managed or Dedicated)
  • Experience designing, running, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines at enterprise scale
  • Strong consulting instincts: clear written and verbal communication, ability to lead a customer meeting, and discipline working to a defined scope
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites for workshops, cutovers, and secure facilities
  • Active DoD Secret clearance required
  • Active DoD clearance must be held directly by the candidate at the time of application
  • Candidates without an active clearance will not be considered
  • Top Secret clearance preferred/highly desired
  • GitLab certifications preferred
  • Kubernetes and Terraform production experience preferred
  • AWS, GCP, or Azure experience in a DevSecOps context preferred
  • Prior federal, defense, or intelligence community program experience preferred
  • GitLab Duo, DAP, agentic AI, or AI-assisted development adoption experience preferred
  • Security scanning toolchains, STIG compliance, or cATO frameworks experience preferred
