Job Description
Senior Product Manager shaping AI-enabled medical-imaging SaaS platforms at Perceptive. Driving clinical-trial automation, product strategy, compliance, and global market success.
Responsibilities:
- Define and own the product vision for a comprehensive AI-enabled medical imaging SaaS platform serving clinical trials globally
- Develop strategic roadmaps integrating scientific developments to reduce manual review time and accelerate trial timelines
- Identify opportunities for automation, predictive analytics, and intelligent image processing
- Create business cases for automation and AI investments and demonstrate ROI
- Drive strategy for multi-tenant, cloud-native SaaS solutions supporting MRI, CT, PET, ultrasound, and digital pathology
- Establish SaaS metrics and KPIs covering uptime, scalability, adoption, customer success, and trial efficiency
- Define integration strategies with CTMS, EDC, and PACS/imaging vendor ecosystems
- Translate strategy into actionable roadmaps and prioritize features based on clinical impact, business value, user needs, and technical feasibility
- Gather insights from clinical trial sponsors, imaging CROs, and site users to validate product direction
- Align commercial, marketing, and customer success teams around product-market fit and go-to-market execution
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Solution Architects on requirements, technical feasibility, and platform architecture
- Analyse competitors, AI capabilities, regulatory trends, industry trends, and customer segments
- Manage the full product lifecycle from concept to retirement
- Monitor product performance through trial outcomes, imaging throughput, AI model performance, and user satisfaction
- Lead product launches, go-to-market planning, user training, and customer success enablement
- Establish customer and clinical-user feedback loops for continuous product improvement
- Develop strategies to evolve existing products into cloud-based SaaS platforms
- Manage product budgets, resource allocation, and financial viability assessments
- Provide functional leadership, coaching, and performance feedback to other Product Managers
- Build relationships with senior leadership, clients, and other stakeholders; represent the organization at industry events
- Analyse clinical imaging workflows and operational bottlenecks to identify automation opportunities
- Evaluate product usability and accessibility and drive business process reengineering
- Ensure compliance with 21 CFR Part 11, HIPAA, GDPR, GxP, DICOM, and HL7 FHIR
- Collaborate on validation documentation, audit trails, compliance evidence, and explainable, clinically validated AI/ML features
- Maintain awareness of FDA AI/ML guidance
- Engage deeply with clinical imaging workflows and partner with clinical operations on imaging charter development, site qualification, protocol compliance, and data management
- Design features addressing multi-site standardization, reader blinding, inter-reader variability, and protocol adherence
- Support diverse therapeutic areas and specialized imaging endpoints
Requirements:
- Extensive experience in medical imaging within clinical trials or life sciences
- Proven track record in SaaS product management with experience scaling cloud-based platforms
- Experience with AI/ML product development including model deployment, performance monitoring, and clinical validation would be an advantage
- Demonstrated experience in automation and workflow optimization within clinical operations
- Experience with imaging viewer technologies (OHIF, Cornerstone.js, commercial PACS viewers)
- Experience coaching and training colleagues and peers in product management practices
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline (Maths, Science, Engineering, Computing, etc.) or a related study, or equivalent project-related experience
- Fluent English
- Experience with SaaS product management and platform scaling
- Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe), SDLC, and product lifecycle tools
- Knowledge of medical imaging
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP and SaaS architecture patterns (microservices, APIs, multi-tenancy)
- Knowledge of imaging data standards (DICOM, NIfTI)
- Proficiency in product analytics and A/B testing
- Experience in market analysis, customer segmentation, and value proposition design
- Experience in ROI modelling and business case development
- Ability to balance innovation with risk management in regulated environments
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated, and cross-functional environment
