Job Description
Senior Product Manager owning PolicyCenter product strategy and delivery. Shaping cloud-based policy administration for property and casualty insurers.
Responsibilities:
- Own a defined area of PolicyCenter end-to-end, from customer discovery through launch and adoption
- Run the discovery–delivery loop by talking to carriers, documenting problems, writing specifications, partnering with engineering and design, and measuring outcomes after launch
- Contribute evidence and a clear point of view to the Policy roadmap and prioritization process
- Evaluate where AI/LLM capabilities can advance underwriting and policy workflows
- Build trusted relationships with underwriting, product, and IT leaders at carrier customers
- Work daily with engineers and architects on scoping, sequencing, and trade-offs
- Develop technical fluency around rating engines, data models, integrations, and cloud delivery decisions
- Coordinate with PMs across BillingCenter, ClaimCenter, Guidewire Cloud Platform, and rating/underwriting integrations
- Partner with field and support teams on production satisfaction issues
- Triage incoming customer issues and determine whether the appropriate path is a fix, configuration guidance, or new feature
- Define and use success metrics including quote-to-bind time, straight-through processing, underwriting cycle time, renewal retention, and customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with senior product managers and the product leadership team
Requirements:
- 5–8 years of product management experience
- Experience on enterprise B2B SaaS products serving large customers
- Direct experience with P&C insurance, ideally policy administration, underwriting, rating, forms, endorsements, renewals, or quoting
- Track record of shipping meaningful features end-to-end, from problem discovery through adoption
- Technical fluency with complex policy administration applications
- Ability to read API contracts
- Ability to reason about data models and rating logic
- Ability to have substantive design conversations with senior engineers
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Ability to translate between customer language, product specifications, and engineering detail
- Familiarity with Guidewire InsuranceSuite, Duck Creek, Majesco, or comparable core insurance platforms preferred
- Exposure to AI/ML or agentic features in a production product preferred
- Experience with cloud/SaaS migration and large installed bases of on-prem customers is a plus
- Background working with underwriting, actuarial, or product management stakeholders at a carrier is a plus
- Prior experience as an engineer, solutions architect, business analyst, or implementation consultant on core insurance systems is a plus
