Job Description
Senior Product Owner delivering AI-audio features for Bragi’s smart headphone technology. Owning squad execution, backlog quality, dependencies, capacity commitments, and release gates.
Responsibilities:
- Own delivery for a cross-functional squad of 5–10 people at the intersection of embedded/mobile software and AI-driven audio
- Drive AI-audio feature delivery end-to-end through own contribution, strategic partners, or third-party developers
- Act as the single intake point for new work and gate commitments on capacity sign-off
- Escalate conflicts between roadmap and customer priorities
- Own backlog quality against a Definition of Ready, including acceptance criteria, user journeys, and domain sign-off
- Partner with the Product Manager to turn roadmap priorities into realistic execution plans based on team capacity and milestones
- Govern cross-team and partner dependencies with other Product Owners
- Set acceptance criteria for internal components, firmware, hardware, and similar intake streams
- Run go/no-go release gates with release management
- Push quality left through a living Definition of Done and developer smoke testing
- Surface risk early and keep delivery transparent and predictable
Requirements:
- 5+ years as a Product Owner or Delivery Lead
- Experience shipping complex enterprise-grade software in a scaled agile setup with multiple scrum teams
- Experience delivering complex embedded or mobile products
- Strong agile fluency
- Ability to lead 5–10 person cross-functional teams including mobile development, cloud engineering, QA, and UI/UX
- Clear, confident communication
- Comfort making autonomous decisions in ambiguity and a remote working setup
- Track record of challenging commitments made without capacity sign-off and negotiating stakeholder trade-offs
- Experience owning technical dependencies end-to-end, including internal handoffs and external partners
- Experience with components, firmware, hardware, or similar technical dependencies
- Experience using AI tools to improve efficiency and quality
- Audio industry background preferred
- Applied AI/ML or broader ML/AI background preferred
- Embedded, IoT, or wearables experience preferred
- Startup, founder, or side-hustle background preferred
- Background as an Embedded or Mobile developer preferred
