Job Description

Senior Project Manager overseeing financial controls, forecasting, and delivery for DLB Associates’ mission-critical construction projects. Leading multidisciplinary teams across U.S. hyperscale data center programs.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on execution leadership and day-to-day ownership across assigned mission-critical construction projects
  • Support the Program Manager in translating organizational, client, program, and financial goals into executable plans
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams and coordinate with Construction Managers across commissioning, quality, MEP, design, and general construction disciplines
  • Manage project and portfolio budgets, forecasts, cash-flow projections, financial plans, commitments, expenditures, contingencies, and forecast-at-completion
  • Track KPIs, financial performance, delivery metrics, trends, risks, opportunities, and forecast variances
  • Identify cost risks and budget impacts and develop mitigation recommendations
  • Prepare financial reviews, dashboards, reports, variance analyses, forecasts, and performance analyses
  • Coordinate with project teams, contractors, vendors, clients, and internal business functions to validate financial information
  • Serve as a day-to-day client stakeholder contact and support issue resolution, alignment, and relationship management
  • Oversee integration across design, construction, commissioning, operations, and quality disciplines
  • Support contract development, commercial evaluations, change requests, claims mitigation, and reconciliation of commitments and change activity
  • Maintain document control and accurate, traceable, timely financial information for governance and client reporting
  • Use digital tools, analytics, data visualization, digital construction platforms, and AI-enabled forecasting to improve efficiency, controls, reporting, and quality processes
  • Support technology adoption aligned with data security, privacy, and operational integrity standards
  • Progressively assume program- and portfolio-level responsibilities while shadowing and supporting the Program Manager
  • Participate in mentoring and performance feedback toward advancement to Program Manager
  • Complete assigned tasks and deliverables on time and on budget
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, finance, or related discipline, OR two years of relevant hands-on construction, project controls, financial project management, or mission-critical infrastructure experience
  • Minimum of eight years of additional related experience, including progressive experience in project management, construction management, project controls, financial management, or portfolio management
  • Hyperscale data center or comparable large-scale mission-critical construction experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of project and portfolio financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, cost tracking, variance analysis, financial reporting, and cost mitigation
  • Knowledge of project management and construction procedures, financial controls, and mission-critical project delivery best practices
  • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools used in construction of mission-critical commercial buildings or structures
  • Knowledge of MOP processes, work notifications, operational risk controls, and impacts on execution, schedule, and cost
  • Demonstrated leadership coordinating multidisciplinary teams and multiple projects simultaneously
  • Understanding of HSE policies and procedures, including NFPA 70E, LOTO, and OSHA standards
  • Skills in financial analysis, project forecasting, cost management, KPI development, stakeholder management, schedule management, and reporting
  • Proficiency with Procore, BIM 360/ACC, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel preferred
  • Ability to leverage AI and emerging technologies
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with onsite and remote team members
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to rent vehicles
  • Ability to complete OSHA 30 Hour Training for Construction and NFPA 70E as required
  • Must be located near a major U.S. airport
  • Ability to travel up to 50% across the U.S.
  • Valid REAL ID or acceptable alternative, such as a passport, for business air travel effective May 7, 2025
  • Ability to meet physical demands including navigating data center and outdoor environments, tight spaces, stairs/ladders, and occasionally moving equipment up to 50 pounds
