Job Description
Senior Project Manager leading health insurance projects for Arkansas Blue Cross. Managing lifecycle delivery, stakeholders, vendors, risks, and process-improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects through planning, scope definition, design, execution, and delivery
- Lead analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of projects
- Analyze, measure, and monitor project performance using metrics and communicate status reports
- Collaborate with departments, analysts, development teams, external vendors, and leadership to define scope, goals, timelines, resources, status, and deliverables
- Facilitate stakeholder communication and guide project direction
- Design new projects and programs by evaluating business processes and executing improvement plans
- Maintain project documentation, record challenges and issues, and track deliverables
- Manage medium-scale projects across the standard project lifecycle
- Manage business cases, requirements reviews, gap analyses, feasibility studies, and solution reviews
- Perform change, issue, and risk management
- Coach and mentor others and make project-related decisions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- In lieu of a degree, five years of non-clerical, relevant experience will be considered
- Minimum five years of project management experience leading medium to large projects with multiple key stakeholders
- Alternatively, an applicable master’s degree in a related field with minimum three years of experience
- Advanced experience with project management software
- Knowledge of project management methodologies
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, including Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to set, execute, and follow through on deadlines and deliverables
- Superior communication skills and diplomatic rapport
- Ability to lead and work with cross-functional teams and work independently
- Ability to manage change
- Ability to present in a formal business setting
- PMP certification preferred
- Ability to maintain security and confidentiality of records and information
