Job Description

Senior SAP BTP/CAP consultant designing and delivering S/4 Utilities solutions for CEREBRICKS’ energy-sector clients. Advising stakeholders and mentoring development teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and take end-to-end responsibility for solutions for energy utility companies, from requirements analysis through maintenance and optimization
  • Design SAP architectures with a focus on SAP BTP and CAP-based services
  • Model and implement data models, services, and business logic
  • Integrate solutions into existing SAP landscapes, particularly S/4HANA and S/4 Utilities
  • Work with backend services, OData/REST APIs, CDS views, and SAP API Management
  • Map energy-sector business processes
  • Advise business departments and IT on best practices, extension strategies, and integration scenarios
  • Facilitate workshops and demos
  • Define and establish development and integration standards for clients and internally
  • Mentor and coach consultants and associate developers
  • Build expertise in BTP/CAP in the utilities context

Requirements:

  • Several years of demonstrable experience in SAP development (backend/full stack), ideally in the energy sector
  • Very strong knowledge of SAP CAP
  • Very strong knowledge of SAP BTP, such as Cloud Foundry and Destinations
  • Knowledge of CDS and RAP
  • Knowledge of API-based integrations, OData, and REST services
  • Knowledge of SAPUI5/Fiori or modern web technologies such as HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Knowledge of ABAP
  • Experience mapping business processes for energy utility companies, SAP S/4 Utilities, or comparable industry solutions
  • Experience in solution design, architecture, and technical consulting
  • Experience preparing solution outlines, documentation, and stakeholder alignment
  • Ability to explain complex technical topics clearly and justify decisions effectively
  • Experience leading projects or workstreams
  • Basic knowledge of DevOps principles, Git, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Very good German and good English skills
  • Strong customer focus, confident manner, and excellent communication skills
  • Enjoy working with interdisciplinary teams
  • Willingness to deliver presentations, internal sessions, or community activities on BTP, CAP, or energy-sector processes
