Job Description
Site Reliability Engineer building and maintaining infrastructure for Tempo's engineering department. Design and support robust, cost-effective solutions in a collaborative team environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain our infrastructure using best practices
- Create and support CI/CD pipelines
- Deploy enterprise-scale projects on AWS
- Work with latest technologies like Kubernetes
- Automate key processes, including build, release, and monitoring (alerting and observability), for both infrastructure and products
- Design and execute technical solutions that improve speed and quality
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues
- Participate in the on-call rotation to support our applications
- Collaborate with team members and other staff
- Ensure security and compliance requirements are met
Requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant work experience
- Strong experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Git, Linux, Bash, Terraform is a must
- Confidence working with monitoring and alerting systems
- Experience in deployment of complex software solutions in a cloud environment
- Proficiency with AWS or other cloud-hosted services
- Solid understanding of software design patterns
- Able to learn quickly and pick up new technologies
- Highly analytical with a passion for finding solutions to tough problems
- Responsible, proactive, positive and honest
- Comfortable with giving and receiving feedback
- Cares about the tasks’ context and the larger goal, versus just checking off requirements
- Soliciting input from appropriate stakeholders when making project decisions
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience with Helm, FluxCD, GitHub Actions, Ansible, Datadog is a plus
- Experience with supporting Java/Kotlin apps is a plus
- Experience with developing for Atlassian ecosystem is a plus.
