Job Description
Senior C# engineer developing Ethixbase 360’s compliance platform from Romania. Delivering secure, scalable .NET software with Agile teams and US-based vendors during North American hours.
Responsibilities:
- Develop software applications and features using agreed Agile processes, systems, and technologies, aligned with designs and specifications from the Product Owner office
- Work within an Agile team to deliver testable, scalable, performant, and robust software within agreed timescales
- Estimate and track time for changes and proposed work, and log time to assess estimation accuracy
- Produce and document technical designs
- Ensure UX/UI designs and implementations are signed off by the Product Owner office when applicable
- Peer-review and code-review other developers’ work, providing constructive feedback and change requests
- Provide 3rd Line support for business and client queries requiring knowledge of contributed code, data structures, or software behavior
- Troubleshoot application areas and resolve issues and defects
- Mentor junior staff and document knowledge within agreed systems
- Identify external training courses to maintain appropriate global team skill sets
- Collaborate with a US software vendor to align technical solutions and ensure delivered code meets acceptance criteria
- Drive communication and collaboration across the global Ethixbase 360 organisation
Requirements:
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience working in an Agile product delivery framework
- Strong understanding of .NET 6+, C# ecosystem, language features, and best practices
- Experience with ASP.NET Core (Web API / MVC)
- Experience with Entity Framework Core or Dapper for data access
- Experience with Windows Server / IIS or Linux-hosted .NET applications
- Experience with SQL Server or another relational database such as MySQL or PostgreSQL
- Software design, problem-solving, and debugging skills
- Use of AI and Claude in the software development life cycle
- Strong security working knowledge, including CRA and use of SCA and SAST tools
- Experience performing code reviews and maintaining best practices
- Experience writing unit tests with frameworks such as xUnit, NUnit, MSTest, or Moq
- Experience with version control using Git, GitHub, or GitLab
- Working North American business hours while based in Europe
- Desirable: microservices architecture and patterns
- Desirable: REST API design and creation
- Desirable: working knowledge of PHP
- Desirable: AWS experience, including SNS, SQS, Lambda, or API Gateway
- Desirable: Azure or other cloud platform experience
- Desirable: SignalR, gRPC, or message queue patterns
- Desirable: Docker and containerisation familiarity
