Job Description
Senior Software Engineer building Contentful-powered web experiences for financial services company. Designing content architectures, React applications, CI/CD pipelines, and AWS cloud deployments.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain Contentful content models, content types, taxonomies, and editorial workflows
- Define and implement scalable Content Architecture and governance standards within Contentful
- Integrate Contentful APIs with front-end applications and enterprise systems
- Develop responsive and performant user interfaces using React, Next.js, Angular, and TypeScript
- Collaborate with UX designers, content authors, and business stakeholders to deliver content-driven experiences
- Build reusable front-end components and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and release management
- Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical mentoring
- Support cloud-native application deployment and monitoring within AWS environments
- Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance, scalability, and security
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience working with Contentful or similar Headless CMS platforms
- Strong experience with Content Model Design
- Experience creating and managing Content Types
- Experience with Content Relationships and References
- Experience with Content Delivery and Management APIs
- Experience with Content Migration and Environment Management
- Experience with Content Governance and Publishing Workflows
- Hands-on experience with React.js, Next.js, Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and SCSS
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Strong understanding of REST APIs and GraphQL
- Familiarity with Git version control
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent amount of experience
- 6–7 years of software engineering experience, including at least 3+ years of hands-on Contentful CMS experience
- Team-oriented, eager to learn, and able to work in a support and enhancement environment
- Experience mentoring junior developers is preferred
- Contentful Certifications, DAM integrations, large-scale website modernization or CMS migration, SSR/SSG with Next.js, Contentful Migration CLI, and Contentful environment promotion strategies are nice to have
